REPARING FOR

RANSPORT
Step 1: Hitch mower to tractor. Refer to “Attach Mower to Tractor,” page 40-2 .
Step 2: Ensure tongue and mower are centered behind tractor. Refer to “Tongue Swing,” page 15-4 .
Step 3: Fully raise cutter bars.
Step 4:
Fold cutter bars in for transport. Refer to “Cutter Bars Fold/Unfold,”
page 15-4
.
Step 5: Install all transport locks. Refer to “Transport Locks,” page 15-1 .
Step 6:
Secure pitch control cylinder stop bushing in position (1) as described on
page 15-5
.
Step 7: Ensure tongue swing/fold circuit transport lock valves are moved to locked position. Refer to
“Tongue Swing Lock Valves,”
page 15-1 .
Step 8: Ensure mower tires are inflated to 200 kPa (2 bar).
WARNING: Improper towing and excessive speed or braking while transporting
on a highway may result in loss of control. Equipment damage, injury, or death
are possible.
Use a tractor that is large enough and properly ballasted for sufficient steering
and braking control. Minimum tractor mass is 1905 kg.
Ensure machine is securely attached to the lower two arms of the 3-point hitch.
Connect and use equipment highway lights.
Place machine components in transport positions and install locks. Raise and
stow tongue jack.
NOTICE: Disengage PTO and allow mower to coast to a
stop before folding cutter bars in for transport.
Never engage PTO while cutter bars are folded in for
transport. Damage to PTO shafts will result.
