4 MACHINE ADJUSTMENTS
Put the machine into the working position as follows:
- Place the tine arms on the rotor (fig. 6).
- Remove the locking bar and fold the safety guards downwards.
Allow the locking bar to slide back into the locking system and
check whether it is properly locked.
Perform this operation on both sides of the machine.
- Unlock the steering device by placing the locking pin in the
highest position (fig. 5).
4.1
Swath width
- Slide the swath curtain outwards and secure it with the locking pin
(fig. 7).
The adjustment depends on the amount of crop and the adjusted
working width.
Select a position that allows the crop to flow through between the
rotor and the swath curtain properly and prevents the formation
of heaps.
4.2
Working height
- Adjust the rotor in a horizontal or slightly oblique forward
position using the top link.
If the required height cannot be obtained with the help of the wind
handle, the tandem wheels can be adjusted to 4 height positions.
- Adjust the working height approximatively by positioning the
wheels (A, fig. 8).
The end piece can also be fitted upside down so that the
adjustment is halved. As a result, the rotors on the left side of the
swath can be adjusted a half-position lower, which allows a
greater crop volume to be handled.
Fit the bolts spaced as widely apart as possible in order to achieve
a reliable connection.
- Adjust the correct height using wind handle B. The tines should
only just touch the ground.
The wind handle is easier to operate when the rotors are lifted
slightly.
