12. Trouble shooting

12.3 Instrument errors, possible causes and corrective action

1. Check if mains cable properly

connected.

2. Replace the fuses (see chapter

14).

1. Press any key to continue.

Check if the reaction para–

meters are still correct and

change if required.

1. Call technical service.

1. Do not press any key now.

Turn the instrument off. Turn

the instrument on again follow-

ing the instructions under 7.4.

1. Unlock the EMERGENCY-STOP

switch and select a sectioning

mode.

2. Release the handwheel brake.

3. Turn the instrument off and wait

30 seconds; turn on again and

push the safety cutout switch at

the rear of the instrument

4. Connect foot switch or external

control panel.

control panel properly.

the rear to move the specimen

towards the rear limit.
