Metric Calculations
Latency (s) = Distance Travelled (m) ÷ Speed (km/h) x 3.6
For example, assuming the operator was travelling at 20km/hr and the
distance from the rope to where the sprayer reacted is 5m:
5m ÷ 20km/h x 3.6 = 0.9 seconds Latency
Imperial Calculations
Latency (s) = Distance Travelled (ft) ÷ Speed (mph) x 0.68
For example, assuming the operator was travelling at 12mph and the
distance from the rope to where the sprayer reacted is 16ft:
16ft ÷ 12mph x 0.68 = 0.9 seconds Latency
