1.2 Getting Started

1.2.1 Set up DTM-MA Station

Configure the DTM-MA using the ManageConfig application (section 2). Transfer the configuration
file to the DTM-MA and make sure fixtures and zones are controlled as expected. Redo the
configuration as needed. Presets are best set up live at the DTM-MA. When presets are complete,
transfer the configuration back to the ManageConfig computer so that the entire configuration,
including the presets you just set up, is stored in a file as a backup of your work.

1.2.2 Set up SDE stations

SDE remote entry stations (“remotes”) are available in different button configurations. See the SDE
manual for details.

1.2.3 Set up S-MIO

If there is an S-MIO (Multi-I/O Interface) in the system, it must be programmed. See the S-MIO
Manual for instructions on how to do this. Like the SDE stations, the S-MIO can be programmed
using Program-Device mode at the DTM-MA. The DTM-MA provides the user interface, the
programmed information is stored at the S-MIO, not at the DTM-MA.

2 Configuring the DTM-MA using ManageConfig

All configuration is done using the ManageConfig application running on a Windows computer. The
configuration file is then transferred to the DTM-MA with a USB cable. After presets have been set at
the DTM-MA, transfer the configuration back to the computer to back up your work.

Requirements:

•

USB cable: Type A male to Micro B male.

•

Windows computer with Windows 7, 8, or 10.

•

ManageConfig application: download this at

www.lehighdim.com

. Click on 'Downloads',

click on 'Search'.

•

Once installed, refer to 'ManageConfig Instr' (on the Start menu for ManageConfig, under
Lehigh) for instructions on using the app. Or, start ManageConfig and hover the mouse over
the buttons for tips.

In general, configure the Site items first, then add areas as needed. For each area, set the number of
zones and set the zone types, followed by DMX parameters and patching. Configure presets. Preset
levels/colors can be set in ManageConfig or set ‘live’ on the station.
