Playing the game
The youngest player starts
fi
rst. Play then continues clockwise.
Each turn a player does the following two actions:
1) Place the owl
Start by placing the owl on one of the eight brown spaces above or to the side of the
shelves. The owl now shows the column or row you can take ingredients from when
you roll the LEGO
®
Dice.
2) Roll the LEGO
®
Dice and do one of the following:
Take an ingredient
Take one ingredient that matches the colour on the LEGO Dice from the row
or column where you placed the owl. Place the ingredient on or by your recipe
list. If there are no ingredients that match the colour on the LEGO Dice on
your row or column, you lose your turn.
If you already have the ingredient that matches the colour on the LEGO Dice,
take it in case another player tries to steal one of your ingredients later on.
Free choice
Take any ingredient you want from the row or column where you placed
the owl.
Place the ingredient on or by your recipe list.
Steal
Steal one ingredient from another player of your choice. You decide
which ingredient to steal. Place the ingredient on or by your recipe list.
If the other players have no ingredients to steal, roll again.
Winning the game
The
fi
rst player to collect all four different ingredients on their recipe list casts
the magic spell by mixing their ingredients together in the magic cauldron
and wins the game!
