The main ba<ery
is a Li-‐Ion baCery, they are characterized by high capacity
and low self-‐discharge. It is carried conveniently in a rear harness, waist or in
a pocket. It is water resistant but should not be immersed in water. At
delivery, the baCery is partly charged, it therefore must be charged before
using the lamp. Make sure you use the correct charger when charging the
baCery.
The back up-‐ba<ery
is a Li-‐ion baCery with high capacity and low self-‐
discharge. It is placed in the baCery holder on the back of the head
posiEon. The backup baCery is completely waterproof. It gives light for about
90 min with 10% power. The lamp recognizes the backup baCery that is
connected and you cannot step up the effect.
The baCeries must be kept cool and dry, if you store the baCery in the
refrigerator, place it in an airEght box or plasEc bag to prevent condensaEon
on the baCery. If the baCery will remain unused for a long Eme, eg over the
summer, leave the baCery half charged and in a cool place. If you do not use
the baCery during a long Eme, you should charge it once a year to prevent
that the voltage drops to a dangerous level. Never leave the baCery so that it
is exposed to extreme heat, such as in a car on a hot summer day. This would
quickly shorten its life.
Follow this advice you give your ba<ery a long life.
• Charge the baCery with the included charger. Be sure to use the correct
charger for each baCery.
• The main baCery charges with the larger charger and takes about 4 hours
to charge fully. Do not discharge the baCery before recharging.
• The backup baCery is charged with the liCle charger and takes about 3
hours to recharge. Do not discharge the baCery before recharging.
