¡Acaba de aterrizar en la tierra la nueva revolución de la robótica. Construye un robot divertido y futurista
con el Gears! Gears! Gears! Illuma Bot. Estos modelos tan fáciles de construir son muy divertidos tanto
para jugar de día como de noche. Cada modelo de robot cobra vida con brillante luces, adhesivos de
cromo y piezas traslúcidas y de brillantes colores que funcionan con pilas. Usa el sencillo manual de
instrucciones de colores que viene en esta guía para montar cuatro Illuma Bots diferentes o construir el
tuyo propio fuera de este mundo robotizado.
NOTA: El motor funciona con 3 pilas "AA", y el controlador necesita 4 pilas "AA" (no incluidas).
Colocar o quitar las pilas en presencia de un adulto con la ayuda de un destornillador para levantar la tapa
de las pilas que se encuentra en la parte posterior. Asegúrese de colocar correctamente las pilas según los
símbolos de polaridad (+) y (-) que están situados en el interior del compartimiento de las pilas.
Algunos componentes funcionan con pilas de botón; ver la información que se indica a continuación para
el recambio de las pilas según el tipo:
Cúpula LED de cromo (3) Pila botón L736

Cabeza de robot (3) Pila botón LR44

El control del motor solamente permite el movimiento del motor hacia delante y hacia atrás. Utilizar los
botones de flecha del controlador para maniobrar el modelo del robot.
Utilizar el interruptor on/off para encender y apagar las luces. ¡No se olvide de apagar las luces de todos
los componentes cuando no los vaya a utilizar!
Consejos de montaje
• Verifique el motor con frecuencia, a medida que lo vaya montando, para asegurarse de que
funcionan correctamente los engranajes. Asegúrese de no sobrecargar el motor con demasiados
engranajes. Esto puede suponer una tensión excesiva para el motor y provocar que se averíe. Si
detecta que los engranajes se mueven con una lentitud excesiva, proceder a quitar algunos de los
engranajes o cambiar las pilas.
• Al motor la corona, conectar en primer lugar un eje con un engranaje pequeño a un lado, luego
colocar la corona, conectada a una columna roja con una estaca en la parte superior. Si coloca un
engranaje en el otro lado del eje, entonces los engranajes se pueden bloquear.
• La forma óptima de movimiento para el Illuma Bot será cuando los engranajes y las ruedas que
están en contacto con el suelo se mueven en la misma dirección. Comprobar esto colocando el
modelo en el suelo y encendiendo el motor, luego mover el modelo hacia delante y hacia atrás.
Observar la dirección en la que se mueven ambos engranajes.
• Utilizar las lengüetas que se encuentran en la base del muelle para soltar los muelles grandes. No
comprimir o tirar de los muelles para soltarlos. Esto puede provocar lesiones o desperfectos en la
pieza. Ver figura #1.
• El motor proporciona cuatro frecuencias que permiten el funcionamiento del motor. Asegúrese que
coinciden los números de las frecuencias en el controlador, que se encuentran en la parte superior
del controlador, con los de la base del motor.
• Mantener la caja del embalaje para el almacenamiento de las piezas.

A new revolution of robotics has landed on Earth! Build a fun, futuristic robot with the Gears! Gears!
Gears! Illuma Bot. These easy-to-build models are fun to play with in the daylight, and in the dark. Each
robot model comes to life with battery-powered flashing lights, chrome stickers, and brightly colored
translucent pieces. Use the colored, easy-to-follow instructions in this guide to build four separate Illuma
Bots or construct your own out of this world robot.
NOTE: The motor requires 3 "AA" batteries, and the controller requires 4 "AA" batteries (not included).
To insert or remove batteries, have an adult use a screwdriver to remove the battery cover located on the
backside. Be sure to insert the batteries correctly according to (+) and (-) symbols located inside the bat-
tery compartment.
Several components require button cell batteries; see below for replacement battery style information:
Chrome LED Dome (3) L736 Button Cell

Robot Head (3) LR44 Button Cell
Large LED Gear (3) L1154 Button Cell

The motor control allows the motor to move forward and backward only. Use the arrow buttons on the
controller to maneuver your robot model.
Use the on/off switch to turn the lights on or off. Don’t forget to turn the lights off on all pieces when not
in use!
Building Tips
• As you build, test the motor every so often to make sure the gears are moving properly. Make sure
you do not overload the motor with too many gears. This may put a strain on the motor and cause it
to fail. If you notice the gears are moving very, very slowly, remove some of the gears or replace
the batteries.
• When attaching the Crown Gear, first connect an axle with a small gear on 1 side, then place a
Crown Gear, connected to a red pillar with a peg on top. If you place a gear on the other side of the
axle, the gears may lock up.
• Your Illuma Bot will move the best if the gears and wheels that touch the floor are moving in the
same direction. Test this by placing the model on the floor and turning the motor on, then moving
the model forward and backward. Notice the direction both gears are moving.
• When removing the Large Springs from the Gears, please use the tabs on the base of the spring. Do
not pull and stretch the spring to remove. This may cause injury and damage the part. See figure #1.
• The motor provides four frequencies which allow the motor to work. Make sure that the frequency
numbers on the controller, located at the top of the controller, and the bottom of the motor are
consistent.
• Keep the box that this set was packaged in for storage of parts.
