2-1 Introduction
The
WinFast 6000ABX
- a
Socket 370
Processor based Micro
ATX
Mainboard,
integrating with onboard
3D Audio
and
AGP
slot, is a high performance/cost index
Desktop solution for Intel Socket 370
Celeron
Series and other compatible CPUs.
The mainboard uses the integrated ALi M1543C/M1621 chipset and ALi M5203
Audio chip to support the high performance hardware PCI 3D Audio and PCI IDE
controllers. The Host interface supports Synchronous Host/SDRAM clocking
configuration to significantly improve system performance and SDRAM
compatibility.
The built-in fast PCI IDE controller supports ATA PIO/DMA and Ultra DMA33/66
function that can handle data transfer up to 66 MB/sec. It provides a separate data path
for two IDE channels that can significantly improve the performance under a
multi-tasking environment.
The onboard PCI 3D Audio supports Microsoft’s DirectSound 3D and Aureal’s A3D
Interface, C3DX positional audio supports 4.1 (or 4+1) channel speakers mode.
Fully supports ACPI OS Directed Power Management, Power on by keyboard, Wake
On Lan, Boot-up Anti-Virus and Year 2000 BIOS Compliance.
The built-in USB controller which is fully compliant to OHCI (Open Host Controller
Interface) provides two USB ports capable of running full/low speed USB devices.
The mainboard also supports a system hardware monitor function.
