Please read through all of the instructions first, before you attempt to remove the lamp
from the packaging
CONTENTS
LE KLINT standard shade (in a separate box), with black painted aluminium ring, acrylic frame, 3 safety
brackets, SHIBUI shade maintenance manual, LE KLINT leaflets and a small side note inside the shade.
UNPACKING & ASSEMBLING OF LAMPSHADE
Do not use a knife or scissors to unpack the lamp, to avoid making scratch marks.

Before you take the shade out of the box
, first open the two small cardboard tags on the sides, to
release the shade
12. Carefully take the shade out of the box.
Inside the shade is an acrylic frame with a hole, for fitting
onto the socket. Take care to handle the shade carefully, so as not to damage the pleats.
13. Read the small side note.
14. Use your fingers to carefully, yet firmly open the top of the shade. You will now see the hole of the
acrylic frame.
15. Pull the shade up over the socket.
Make sure the socket fits into the hole of the acrylic frame,
inside the shade.
16. Use one hand to push the acrylic frame up to the
top
socket ring and hold in place.
Re-attach the
bottom
socket ring, so that the frame and the shade are now secured/fastened to the
wall lamp. You can now screw in a light bulb.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENTS
Because your lamp is new, the height adjustment mechanism will be stiff. You will have to use the
lamp’s friction, to release the smooth pulling motion of the lamp, by pulling the inner tube up and
down a few times.
17. Now you can set the lamp to your desired height by holding one hand onto the large outer tube,
while pulling the thin inner tube upwards or ...
18. – pushing downwards – as in photos 17 & 18.
19. You may need to slightly pull on the cord to help unwind it from inside the inner pipe, and also help to
adjust the height.
REMOVAL OF THE 3 SAFETY BRACKETS

The Safety Brackets have to be removed one at a time
20. The 3 small safety brackets are attached to both the black ring and the clear built-in acrylic frame
inside the shade, to hold the ring in place while assembling the lampshade to the lamp stand.
• Remove the safety brackets only after the lampshade has been secured to the floor lamp socket.
• First, lift the bottom section of the bracket off the outer edge of the black ring, with a light grip.
• Lift the top section of the safety bracket, up and out from the inside edge of the acrylic frame, to
release the bracket and the safety paper completely off the lamp.
• Repeat, to remove each safety bracket.
Save the Safety Brackets in case you need to use them at another time.
LIGHT
: We recommend using an LED bulb to avoid heat build-up inside the shade.
Choose a light source in relation to the amount of light you desire from the pendant.
NB:
Max. wattage is 20 W LED.
Be aware that there must be a minimum of 3 cm between the light
source and the shade material.
MAINTENANCE · Standard shade and painted ring
Use a dust brush or a slightly damp cloth to keep both the shade and black painted ring clean. Avoid using
alcohol based cleaning products, as they can leave stains marks on the ring’s painted surface.

Lampshade & Height adjustment instructions
Do NOT remove the 3 safety brackets.
