Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting for Massage and Heat Operation
If the massage or heat features do not work, check the following:
1.
Make sure the time limit of two consecutive 15-minute periods of operation (30 minutes total)
has not been exceeded. To check this, wait three minutes and restart the massage or heat.
It the feature starts working, the automatic timer has shut off the features for the rest period,
and will need to continue to rest.
2.
Make sure the 120 volt power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
3.
Check the power supply to make sure the green LED power indicator light is on.
4.
Make sure the electrical outlet is working. For example, make sure there are no blown fuses
or tripped circuit breakers.
5.
Make sure all the connectors are secure; refer to the
Assembly Instructions.
6.
Make sure the electrical cords are not crimped or pinched. Make sure the electric cord or
plug is not damaged.
If the Gold Luxury-Lift
®
still does not operate properly, contact your La-Z-Boy
®
dealer for
service. Except for the replacement of the power supply, never attempt to make any repairs
or adjustments yourself.
Power Supply Replacement
If the power supply must be replaced:
1.
Unplug the power supply from the electrical outlet.
2.
Disconnect the 120 volt power cord from the power supply, and disconnect the power supply
from the power supply connector at the base of the unit. Refer to the
Assembly Instructions
.
3.
Connect the new power supply to the power supply connector at the base of the unit; align
the connectors and push together until locked. Connect the 120 volt power cord to the new
power supply; align the connector to the power supply and push together until fully seated.
