ADJUSTING THE CUTTING HEIGHT
Do not at any time make any adjustment to the lawn mower without first stopping the motor and removing the
safety key. Keep your feet away from the mower deck when adjusting its height.
When shipped, the rear wheels of the mower are set in the transportation position. Before using the mower for
the first time, adjust the cutting position to the height best suited for your lawn. It is recommended to use the
highest position for cutting, and then gradually lower the position for cutting. The mower can be set to 4 cutting
heights between 1.38" (35 mm) and 2.55" (65 mm). Choose the proper cutting height according to the types
and conditions of the grass.
To set the cutting height:
1. To raise the cutting height, grasp the cutting height adjustment lever and move it toward the back of
the mower (Fig. 7).
2. To lower the cutting height, grasp the cutting height adjustment lever and move it toward the front of
the mower (Fig. 7).
