19. Fill fuel tank with clean, fresh gasoline.
Self–propelled Cable (Model
11003 Only)
Whenever handle height is changed, a new
self–propelled cable is installed or traction drive belt
slips, adjustment is required.
Self–propelled cable is adjusted at the left handle
bracket by moving cable jacket held by jam nuts
(Fig. 40).

Hold self–propelled bail 1 to 1

in. (25 to
38 mm) from handle.
2.
Adjust jam nuts, at handle bracket, so cable is
tight, but spring is not stretched.
3.
Tighten jam nuts securely.
4.
Release bail and check to see that cable is loose.
Note:
Cable must be loose with bail in
released position or mower may creep
when bail is disengaged.
