6. Once the maximum vacuum is reached, the device automatically seals
the bag. During the sealing process, the welding indicator light (Fig. 2, No.
4) will illuminate.
7. At the end of the sealing process, the device will automatically shut off.
8. Lift the device lid and remove the sealed foil. Cut the foil to the desired
length with a clean and straight cut. The self-made bag can now be
vacuumed as indicated in chapter 7.2.
Tip
Under vacuum, the device lid cannot be opened. To terminate the
vacuuming or sealing process prematurely, either set the selector
switch for container/bag (Fig. 2, No. 2) to the middle, neutral posi-
tion or turn off the device using the ON/OFF switch (Fig. 2, No. 1). The
device lid can then be opened again.
7.3 Vacuuming containers
The vacuum sealer is delivered as standard with a suction device. The suction
device can be used with all New-Line, G-Line, and ES-Line vacuum containers, as
well as the Top Vacuum Universal Lids and the Gastronorm vacuum containers
from Lava.
1. Connect the device to a 230-volt power outlet and switch the ON/OFF
switch to . The selector switch will now light up, indicating that the device
is ready for operation.
2. Open the device flap and attach the hose of the supplied suction device
(Fig. 2, No. 9) to the connector (Fig. 1, No. 7).
3. Place the food in the container, making sure that the food is completely
cooled before vacuuming and that the container is not overfilled. The con-
tainer and lid rim must be clean.
4. Now place the other end of the suction device onto the valve of the lid
and press firmly against the container at the beginning.
5. Switch the device on the container/bag selector (Fig. 2, No. 2) to
.
The suction process starts immediately. Attention: If the corresponding
container has a pressure indicator, vacuum according to this indicator.
Otherwise, vacuum the container with full negative pressure.
6. After the desired vacuum is reached, either set the container/bag selec-
tor switch (see Fig. 2, No. 2) to the middle, neutral position or turn off the
device using the ON/OFF switch (Fig. 2, No. 1)
.
7. First, remove the hose from the device, and then from the valve of the
container.
8. To remove the lid from the container again, press down on the valve or lift
it slightly (depending on the container design).
7.4 Vacuum sealing products with high liquid content
When vacuum sealing products with high liquid content or marinating, it is rec-
ommended to follow the following tips.
Attention: Sucking up liquids, especially meat juice, can cause irreparable
damage to the pump! There is no warranty claim
Tip
Vacuum sealing products with high liquid content requires special
attention. The area of the foil where the seal is made must remain
clean and dry. To achieve this, fold the opening of the bag outward
while filling it.
•
The bag can also be sealed without vacuum in any case. Simply place the
foil on the sealing bar, close the device flap, and let it seal in bag mode.
•
The bag should be filled up to a maximum of two-thirds. Food should be as
cold as possible. If possible, freeze moist products before vacuuming.
•
Hang the bag over the edge of the table when vacuuming. This will prevent
the liquid from being sucked up too quickly.
•
The vacuum should be generated very gently when dealing with moist
products to prevent liquid from being sucked up too quickly. For this reason,
the vacuum sealer is equipped with a pressure regulation L+ as standard
(see chapter 6.5).
•
To protect the sealing area from liquid and ensure a perfect seal, it is rec-
ommended to use the Lava liquid stop (FlüssigkeitsStopp
