Coin-operated machines
In coin-operated machines, prices for programs and options must be programmed during
installation, and canbe modified at any time..
Prices can be programmed as dollars and cents or as the number of coins required to start.
Register 26 ("No Decimal In Price") determines how prices are displayed by the machine.
When set to "00" (default), prices are set and displayed with a decimal (eg "3.00"). When set
to "01", the decimal point is turned off, and prices are set and displayed as "number of coins"
required (eg "12"). In either case, the value stored in the "Coin Value 1" and "Coin Value 2"
registers determine how much the remaining price will be reduced each time a coin is deposited.
The coin-value registers can be adjusted to accommodate any currency.
To set the decimal mode:
• Remove the coin box using appropriate key.
• Press the Service Switch inside the vault to enter service mode.
• Press the Start button ("SE" appears in the display).
• Press the Extra Rinse button to advance to register "26"
• Press the Start button to view the current setting (current setting blinks).
• Press the Heavy Soil or Extra Rinse buttons to select the desired mode (“00” or “01”).
• Press the Start button to save the new value.
• Press the Service Switch button inside the vault to exit service mode.
To enter prices:
• Press the Service Switch inside the vault to enter service mode.
• Select the program or option button for which the price is to be programmed.
(The current price for that selection is displayed. Note that a decimal will only
appear if register 26 = 00 ( “coin” mode is selected).
• Press the Start button. (The price blinks).
• Set each digit in the price to the desired value by pressing Cold, Warm, Hot and
Delicate, respectively.
• Press the Start key to save the new price.
• Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each program and option button. Keep in mind that
the option buttons only make adjustments to the basic programs, and are therefore
typically given prices of 0.25 or 0.50 (1 or 2 coins).
• When all prices have been entered, press the Service Switch in the vault to exit
service mode. Check the newly entered prices by selecting each program without
and with option selections.
Coin meter
Note:
In "coin" mode (register 26="00") Coin Value 1 and Coin Value 2 will typically
be set to "0.25" and "1.00", respectively (for US and Canadian currencies). In
"token" mode (register 26="01", the number of coins to start is displayed, and the
coin value 1 and 2 registers would typically be set to "001" and "004", respectively
(specifying one count to be decremented from the price for coins deposited in the
coin 1 slot, and 4 counts to be decremented for coins deposited in the coin 2 slot
(applies to machines equipped with dual coin acceptors only).
