X-431 PRO5 User Manual

OBD II diagnostic socket.

10.3 Install the software & driver

Note: Before installing the software, please make sure that the PC user is

authorized with administrator rights and the SmartLink device has been properly

connected to the PC.

1. Visit www.x431.com, go to "Products" -> "Online Products" -> "X-431 PRO 5"

-> "Tool Download" to download the software package.

2. Follow the operation documentation associated with the J2534 tool (included

in the software package) to install it.

3. After the installation of the software and driver is complete, the PC and the

VCI device are ready for J2534 programming.
