Operating Temperature
The instrument components are rated for a
temperature range of -30
°
C (-22
°
F) to 60
°
C (140
°
F). Do not expose the instrument to temperatures
outside that range.
Moisture and Dust Protection
The instrument is sealed to provide protection from
normally expected field conditions. It is protected
from dust and from rain, and features temporary
submersion resistance.
Shock Protection
The Impulse is a precision instrument and should
be handled with care. It will withstand a reasonable
drop shock. If you drop the instrument, however,
check the scope and tilt alignment (Impulse 200
only)
before using the instrument for measurement.
Cleaning and Storage
Clean the instrument after each use, before
returning it to its case. Check for all the following
items:
•
Excess moisture.
Towel off excess moisture,
and air dry the instrument at room temperature.
•
Exterior dirt.
Wipe exterior surfaces clean. Use
isopropanol to remove dirt and fingerprints from
the scope exterior.
•
Dirty lenses.
Use a lens brush to remove
surface dust and loose particles from the front
panel lenses. Clean each lens by moistening it
with a lens cleaning solution and wiping it with a
