5.10.2 Mirror Retainer

Before opening any part of the head,
clean off the dust and/or process
debris using an exterior cleaning
towel (PLTLS0023) or equivalent.

To remove the mirror retainer:
1. Carefully remove the (4) M3

SHCS and springs from the
mirror retainer.

Take care not to misplace the
springs. They are loose.

2. Remove the mirror retainer and

mirror from the fixed mirror
holder.

To replace the mirror retainer:

3. Place the optic (new or cleaned

according to

Section 5.2

) into

the fixed mirror holder with the
mirror side facing the mirror
retainer.

4. Verify that the



Clearance holes in the
corners of the mirror
retainer are aligned with
the threaded holes in the
corners of the fixed mirror
holder.



Orientation pin is aligned
with the orientation pin
hole.

5. Place a spring over each socket

head shoulder bolt.

6. Carefully replace the (4) M3

socket head shoulder bolt into
the mirror retainer.

Take care that the springs
are inserted fully into the
assembly.
