Users are also advised that replacing or removing the helmet’s
original parts is a safety risk and goes against the
manufacturer’s recommendations. Helmets should never be
modified to attach additional parts unless this is explicitly
recommended by the helmet manufacturer.
Please use only original accessories (e.g. chin straps) and
replacement parts (e.g. sweatband) from the supplier.
Paint, solvents, adhesives or self-adhesive labels should not be
applied or affixed to the helmet except according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
As with any other material, plastic is also subject to material
fatigue through ageing. No helmet should be in use for longer
than 4 years, calculated from the date of manufacture (see
markings, below).
Helmets should be stored in a dry place between 5 °C and
40 °C. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
The helmet, inner lining and sweatband should be cleaned with
a mild detergent and lukewarm water. Do not use solvents or
chemicals for cleaning.
