INSTALLATION
This converter comes with a choice of general area cord caps on the input lead and four two-pin Deutsch connectors on
the output lead, allowing users to run four fixtures off one transformer. This converter can operate with voltages
100-277VAC and converts it to low voltage, allowing users to use a high voltage DC power source to operate equipment
like our LED and HID lights that require 12 volt DC current.
Make sure power is turned off prior to wiring! Connect input lead to power
source. Take all appropriate steps for waterproofing connections as necessary.
Connect equipment to output side. The connected device(s) will power once the
converter is energized. If not, check power source and connections.
CAUTION:
Keep enclosure cover closed at all times during operation.
NOTE:
In order to obtain the best performance and the longest operational life
from these units, it is recommended that you do not exceed 75% of the unit’s output amperage. To determine if this
converter suits your desired application, add together the total wattage of the equipment you intend to use with this unit
and divide this total by 12 volts to find the total amperage draw that will be placed upon the converter. For example, if you
are using two of our LEDP10W-120E 120 watt LED lights, 120 watts divided by 12 volts is 10 amps. This would mean the
DCP-25-HD is well suited as it would run at under 75% capacity to produce the necessary 10 amps. Running these units
at 100% of their capacity can create excess heat and lead to shortened converter life.
*See product nameplate for exact voltage requirements.
Low Voltage DC
Connect power to power supply outputting low voltage between 9-42 Volts DC.
This variable voltage allows greater versatility without affecting light output. Ensure
deutsch connectors are properly connected (If applicable)
DETACHABLE CORDS
•
Cord is attached via a weatherproof 2-pin Deutsch connector.
•
The cord is detachable by depressing the tab on the top of the connectors. This enables the
operator to remove and store the light while leaving the cord connected to the power source.
•
Additional or replacement cords can be ordered from our website. Contact us or visit LarsonElectronics.com for more
information.
MAINTENANCE
There are no serviceable parts inside the fixture. However, it is good practice to routinely clean and check the
fixture for proper function.
•
Disconnect power running to the
unit
and be sure the fixture is cool to the touch.
•
Use a non-abrasive glass cleaning solution to clean the
unit
.
USE AND CARE
Unauthorized modification may impair the function and/or safety of this device and could affect the life of the equipment.
Always check for damaged or worn out parts before using the device. Store it in a secure place out of the reach of
children when not in use. Inspect for good working condition prior to storage and before re-use.
