Using the Meter Lock

Step 2.
Choose an option from the
Lock Mode
drop-down menu.
In each lock mode option, the meter displays differently, and certain meter operations are
to understand which lock mode fits your measurement study
needs.
Step 3.
Enter an
Unlock Code
. This code can be 1–4 digits. The first digit should not be
a zero. If you set
“0123” as your code, the meter will save it as “123”.
TAKE NOTE
Please record your unlock code in a secure place. Your code can also be
retrieved from G4 LD Utility. In G4, go to the
Manager
page, select the
Maintenance
tab and choose
Lock/Unlock
.
Step 4.
If desired, select the checkbox in-line with
Allow Calibration when Locked
.
When you select this option, you can calibrate the 831C any time a
measurement is not running, even when locked.

Step 5.
Press
Close
, then choose
Yes
to save your changes.
