FLS 106 IC set / FLS 106 PCB set
Installing the BT 706 Bias-Tee
17.3
The BT 706 bias-tee has to be connected in the incoming circuit to ensure the ICR probe's power
supply.
Mount the bias-tee on the "RF in" input of the scanner's Z-axis tower by hand.
Important: Do not use any tools so as to prevent any damage! (Figure 83).

Connect the SMA-SMA RA measuring cable that is connected to the SMA coupling to the SMA
input of the BT 706 (Figure 85).

Figure 86: Connecting the power supply cable
Connect the bias-tee power supply cable to the "12 V / DC" input of the bias-tee and to the
"12 V DC" connector on the scanner's Z-axis tower (Figure 86).
Collision control of the ICR probe
17.4
The collision control is a protective function in connection with an ICR probe to limit potential
damage that may be caused if the ICR probe accidentally touches the device under test.
The ICR probe may not touch the device under test during operation. The collision control may not
be used to position the ICR probe.
