C

1.  Check to make sure the four flame regulators of the main burners (A1,

A2) are set to "OFF". The rotisserie burner should not be used together

with the main burners.

2.  Pull the electric motor (C) forwards up to the stop.
3.  Push one of the meat clamps onto the skewer (D) (spikes point inwards

towards the meat), then the meat (as near to the centre as possible) and

then the other meat clamp (spikes point inwards towards the meat).

Align  everything  to  the  centre,  push  the  meat  clamps  into  the  meat  and

tighten the screws of the meat clamps.

D

4.  Insert the marked end of the skewer into the hole on the motor and rest

the other end of the skewer on the seating on the right side of the grill.

5.  Connect the mains cable of the motor to a 230 V socket (while observ-

ing the safety instructions on the previous page), turn the switch on the

motor to "ON" and check to ensure the skewer rotates evenly; otherwise

reposition the meat.

A4

B

6.  Press the flame regulator (A4) and turn it anti-clockwise to the "High"

setting.

7.  Press the ignition button (B) immediately and keep it depressed for ap-

prox. 5 seconds. Clicking noises indicate that the igniter is firing up.

If the gas in the rotisserie burner does not ignite within the 5

seconds, turn the flame regulator (A4) back to "OFF", wait 5 min-

utes and then repeat steps 6 and 7.

Alternatively you can also ignite the rotisserie by using a match. If you are doing this it is

imperative

you use the match

holder located in the cart. Without this you may

burn yourself

. Keep as far away from the burner as possible. Hold the

match holder with a lit match close to the rotisserie burner. Then press the appropriate flame regulator (A4) and turn it

anti-clockwise to the "High" setting.

8.  Turn the flame regulator (A4) to the desired heat setting.

Open the hood from time to time while using the rotisserie burner to prevent the barbecue from becom-

ing damaged by the extremely high heat generated.

To switch off the rotisserie burner (extinguish the flame) press and turn the flame regulator (A4) clockwise to

"OFF". Afterwards remove the food and push the motor to the back in order to protect it from becoming soiled.

Switching off the barbecue

1.  Close the cylinder valve on the gas cylinder (turn G1 clockwise).
2.  Turn all flame regulators (A) to "OFF".
3.  Wait until all of the parts have cooled down and then clean any soiled components.
4.  Close the covers
5.  If the barbecue is not going to be used for a prolonged period:

– Disconnect the gas cylinder (see chapter "Disconnecting the gas cylinder").

– Store the barbecue in a dry place.
