SECTION 3: MOWER DECK

Z44 and Z52 Accu-Z Razor (S/N 472620 and above) Riding Mowers   357-044SM

Land Pride

PULLEY AND BLADE HUB REMOVAL

1. Ensure that control levers are set in the neutral
position and park brake is set for safety.

2. Loosen and remove belt safety covers, floor panel, or
remove the mower deck as needed for access to blade
hubs.

3. Loosen deck belt tension by disengaging the over-
center latch system.

4. Remove the belt from the spindle hub to be removed.

5. Loosen and remove the mower blade from the spindle
hub to be removed.

6. Loosen and remove the spindle hub retaining
hardware.

7. Lift the hub spindle assembly up and out of deck.

8. Secure the hub spindle assembly in vice.

9. Loosen and remove pulley spindle nut.

10. Remove the pulley from the hub spindle assembly.

11. With a rubber mallet, tap the spindle, blade hub, and
lower bearing from housing, then pull upper bearing out
of the hub.

12. Secure the spindle with blade hub mounted in vice
and unscrew blade hub from spindle.
