Hydraulic Blade Tilting

ALL HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED.

Blade Tilt Cylinder
Refer to Figure 1-4:

To avoid serious injury or death:
•
Do not remove shipping block from blade tilt housing until
after all manual links, ratchet jack, and/or hydraulic
cylinders have been installed and cylinders have been
•
The Rear Blade may be unstable and hard to control until
all the hydraulic cylinders have been purged with oil.
1.
Attach hydraulic cylinder (#5) to lugs (#1 & #2) with
clevis pins (#4). Make sure hydraulic ports are on top
and cylinder base is mounted to lug (#2).
2. Secure clevis pins with cotter pins (#3). Bend one or
more legs on the pins to keep them from falling out.
3. Remove shipping port plugs from cylinder ports.
IMPORTANT:
Attach cylinder base to the upper
cylinder mount. The base will interfere with the
moldboard if attached to the lower cylinder mount.
4. Screw two 90 degree elbows (#6) to the cylinder
ports with O-rings facing the ports. Orient fittings as
shown and tighten.
5. Screw adapter fittings (#7) to one end on each of the
two 180" long hydraulic hoses (#9 & #10) with
O-rings facing couplers (#8) and tighten.
6. Attach
customer supplied hydraulic couplings (#8)
to adapter fittings (#7) and tighten.

Screw the other end of hydraulic hoses (#9 & #10) to
elbow fittings (#6) and tighten.
8. Route hydraulic hoses through brackets “A” & “B” and
store hose ends in storage slots. If hitched to a
tractor, connect hoses to the tractor’s hydraulic
system.
9. Shipping block (#11) may be removed after all
hydraulic cylinders with hoses and couplings have
been installed and tightened.
