Rake Angle
Refer to Figure 3-3:
The roller frame can be angled a maximum of 15 degrees
in either direction for windrowing material to one side.
Angling is accomplished with either an optional hydraulic
cylinder or with a ratchet jack.
Adjust rake angle with ratchet jack by setting the ratchet
mechanism on the jack and then pumping the jack handle.
DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Do not operate hydraulic 3-point lift controls while someone
is directly behind tractor or near the implement.
Adjust rake angle with the hydraulic cylinder by operating
the control lever at the tractor. The hydraulic cylinder
option is very useful when changing rake angle often. To
order a hydraulic angling bundle contact your nearest
Land Pride dealer.
Material Control Deflector
Refer to Figure 3-4:
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Always shut tractor down using “Tractor Shutdown
Procedure” provided in this manual before servicing,
adjusting, cleaning, or maintaining this implement.
A material control deflector mounted above the rake roller
controls both size and shape of material being raked by
adjusting the height of the deflector above the roller. The
highest position or widest gap allows most dirt and rock
to pass over the roller and lowering the deflector height or
narrowing the gap produces a finer raking job.
1. Reposition the height of the material control deflector
by loosening nuts (#1) at both ends and sliding
material control deflector up or down in slots (#2) at
both ends.
2. Once the desired position is achieved tighten nuts
(#1) to the correct torque.
Stand Adjustments
Refer to Figure 3-5:
The stand (#2) has four holes for adjustment. Holes (A)
are for stabilizing the Powered Rake when disconnected
from the tractor. Hole (B) is for storing stand during use.
1. Remove pin (#1) from stand tube and stand (#2).
•
For disconnecting: Move stand (#2) to help
stabilize Powered Rake and align one of the holes
(A) with hole in stand tube and replace pin (#1).
•
For operating: Move stand (#2) to align hole (B)
with hole in stand tube and replace pin (#1).
