End Plate Positioning
Side plates are utilized to gather and keep rocks and
debris in front of the roller for the purpose of distributing
material over low areas.
Working Position
Refer to Figure 3-4:
The side plates are attached on the front side to mounting
tabs and pins for gathering and distributing material while
traveling forward.
1. Remove linchpin (#5) and install right-hand side plate
(#1) over front mounting tabs (#3) and side plate
guide (#4) over front mounting pin (#2).
2. Secure side plate (#1) with linchpin (#5).
3. Repeat steps 1-2 for left-hand side plate.
Storage Position
Refer to Figure 3-5:
Side plates (#1) & (#2) are utilized to collect rocks and
debris in front of the roller for the purpose of distributing
material over low areas. They can be removed and stored
on the right-hand side of the rake by removing linchpins
(#3) containing the plates and reposition the plates
upside down on the top side at the right end of the rake as
shown below. Secure side plates by reinserting the
linchpins (#3).
