Mounting Valve Mount & Valve
Sub-assembly
Refer to Figure 1-1 & Figure 1-2:
1. Locate the tractor’s cross tube (A) between the left
front tire and tractor cab.
2. Assemble valve mount (#4) and mount strap (#3) to
cross tube (A) with two 3/8-16 bolts (#6), two flat
washers (#11), and two flange lock nuts (#9).
3. Position assembled valve mount against welded
collar (B) on cross tube (A) as shown in Figure 1-2.
Tighten fasteners (#6 & #9) to 42 ft-lbs (31 N · m).
4. Orient third function valve (#18) so the solenoids face
rearward. Ports “A” & “B” should face upward.
5. Secure valve (#18) to assembled valve mount with
two 1/4-20 bolts (#7), two flat washers (#10), and two
hex nuts (#8). Tighten fasteners (#7 & #8) to 8 ft-lbs
(11 N · m).

IMPORTANT: Adjust the assembled valve mount to
prevent hydraulic hoses (#27 & #28) of valve ports
“P” & “T” from rubbing against the tractor frame.
Index the assembled valve mount on cross tube (A)
until 1/8" to 1/4" (3 to 6 mm) of clearance is obtained
between the hoses and tractor frame. Refer to
Detail A in Figure 1-2.

Preparing the Power Beyond &
Return to Tank Ports
Refer to Figure 1-1 & Figure 1-3:
1. Remove the one-piece steel tubing (C) connected to
the power beyond port and return to tank port.
Discard component, or store for safe keeping.

2. Install and tighten adapter fitting (#12) into the power
beyond port.
3. Install and tighten adapter fitting (#20) into the return
to tank port.
IMPORTANT: If your tractor is equipped with a
backhoe, do not follow this procedure. Instead, refer
to “Preparing the Power Beyond Port” on page 21
for installing the backhoe accessory hose kit.
IMPORTANT: Land Pride recommends your dealer
connect hydraulic hoses (#27 & #28) to your tractor’s
power beyond port and return to tank port .
Improper hook-up can cause damage to your tractor
and/or the third function valve.

both have preinstalled O-rings before installing.
