Tractor Hook-Up
DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
•
A crushing hazard exists while hooking-up and unhooking
implement. Keep people and animals away while backing-
up to implement or pulling away from implement. Do not
operate hydraulic controls while a person or animal is
directly behind the power machine or near the implement.
•
Always check all rake hardware for tightness before moving
or working around the unit. Make sure the hex slotted pivot
nut and cotter pin are secured. If cotter pin is missing, the
hex slotted nut can unscrew allowing the rake to fall from its
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Always shut tractor down using “Tractor Shutdown
Procedure” provided in this manual before allowing anyone
including the operator to hook-up and unhook implement.
1.
Ensure lower arms are stabilized to prevent
excessive side movement.
2. Slowly back tractor up to Landscape Rake while
using 3-Point hydraulic control to align hitch holes in
lower arms with hitch pins on implement.
3. Set tractor transmission in park or engage tractor
park brake, shut tractor engine off, and remove
switch key before dismounting tractor.
4. With lower arms properly aligned, slide arm hitch
holes onto implement hitch pins.
5. Secure lower arms to hitch pins by inserting
customer supplied linchpins through hitch pins holes
and rotating linchpin snap rings down.
6. Connect top center link to one of three mounting
locations in the upper hitch plate with customer
supplied pin and linchpin as follows:
a.
Standard Cat. 0 Center Link Hook-Up:
Connect
center 3-Point link to bottom holes in hitch mast.
b.
Cat. l Limited Center Link Hook-Up:
Depending
on tractor geometry, the upper or middle holes
may give maximum lift height. A check with tractor
and implement is required.
c.
Standard Cat. l Center Link Hook-Up:
Depending on tractor geometry, the upper or
middle holes may give maximum lift height. A
check with your tractor and implement is required.
7.
Using tractor lift control lever, lift Landscape Rake up
until parking stand is off the ground 1 to 2 inches.
8. Raise parking stand up to field position. See step 4
under
detailed instructions.
Leveling the Landscape Rake
1.
Manually adjust one of the two lower lift arms up or
down to level the rake from left to right.
2. Manually adjust length of the top center link to level
rake from front to rear.
3. Before using the Landscape Rake, it should be
checked for clearances between rake and tractor
throughout the range of all rake motions. See
detailed instructions.
