Disc Gang Adjustments
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
•
Be careful when working with disc blades as the edges are
sharp. Wear gloves when working around disc blades. Keep
•
Properly block and secure disc in the raised position prior to
changing gang angles, gang position, disc replacement or
during maintenance. Keep feet out from under the disc blades
during adjustments or maintenance.
•
Perform maintenance only on equipment that is not
running. Place power machine in park or set park brake,
shut engine off, remove switch key, and wait for all moving
components to come to a complete stop before dismounting.

Park implement on a flat, level surface.
2. Place power machine in park or set park brake, shut
engine off, and remove switch key before
dismounting. Also, refer to shutdown instructions in
the power machine Operator’s Manual.
3. Place support blocks/jack stands under the main
frame and lower the disc onto the supports.

Disc Gang Angle
The Plot Ranger is designed for ease of angling with the
front and rear discs having four angle positions:
(0, 7, 14, and 21 degrees.) Disc angle in Figure 3-1 are
shown at 14 degrees.
1.
Remove hairpin cotter and hitch pin.
2. Slide disc gangs to desired position and replace hitch
pin. Secure hitch pin with hairpin cotter.

NOTE:
Increasing disc gang angle makes for a more
aggressive cut to remove more vegetation and
requires more horsepower to pull the implement.
Decreasing disc gang angle will give a better ground
finish, remove less vegetation, and requires less
horsepower.
Disc Gang Position
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Do not remove u-bolt nuts to reposition the disc gangs. Only
loosen them. If u-bolt nuts are removed, disc gangs will drop
causing injury to the body.
1.
Loosening u-bolts (#1) and sliding the disc gangs in
or out to desired position. The recommended
position is 2" from end of steel tube as shown
.
2. Tighten u-bolts to the proper torque once the gangs
have been set to the desired position.

When replacing notched disc blades, assemble disc
blades with the notches in a spiral pattern as shown.
