Tractor Requirements
The CA15 Series Core Aerator is designed for a three
point Category 0, 1, and 1 limited hitch. The 3-Point hitch
must be capable of lifting 750 lbs. Tractors not rated for
lifting 750 lbs must not be used.
Unloading Instructions
CAUTION
!
To avoid minor or moderate injury:
Never allow anyone under the unit while unloading.
Remove crated Aerator from the flat bed trailer with a
lifting device designed for handling the load. Gently set
the crate down on a smooth, flat surface. Carefully
uncrate the unit to protect the finish. Verify all fasteners
and parts are included. Refer to the Parts Manual on our
website (www.landpride.com) if unsure.
NOTE:
The tractor may need additional ballast to
maintain steering control. See tractor’s Operator’s
Manual to determine if additional ballast is required.
Torque Requirements
Refer to
“Torque Values Chart”
determine correct torque values when tightening
hardware.
Dealer Assembly
This unit is shipped partially assembled. It is the
Dealerships responsibility to finish the assembly. Review
all safety instructions printed in this manual before
assembling the Aerator.
Hitch Assembly
1.
Attach hitch top strap (#1 & #2) to clevis plates “A”
with 3/4"-10 x 1 3/4" cap screws (#6), spring lock
washers (#9) & hex nuts (#7). Do not tighten.
2. Attach hitch brace straps (#4) to gusset “B” with
3/4"-10 x 1 3/4" cap screws (#6), spring
lock washers (#9) & hex nuts (#7). Do not tighten.
3. Rotate hitch top straps and hitch brace straps up to
align holes as shown. Insert spacer (#3) between
hitch top straps and secure with 3/4"-10 x 4 1/2" cap
screw (#5) and hex flange top locknut (#8).
4. Tighten all hardware to the correct torque.
