Chapter 2: Installation



Use only the supplied power supply unit! The use of the wrong power
supply unit can be of danger to the device or persons.

Operational?

– After a short device self-test the Power LED will be per-

manently lit green resp. will blink alternately red and green as long as no
configuration password has been given.

2.4

Software installation

The following section describes the installation of the Windows-compatible
system software LANtools, as supplied.



You may skip this section if you use your LANCOM Access Point exclu-
sively with computers running operating systems other than Win-
dows.

2.4.1

Starting Software Setup

Place the product CD into your drive. The setup program will start automati-
cally.



If the setup does not start automatically, run AUTORUN.EXE in the
root directory of the product CD.

In Setup, select

Install Software
