STAT(?) [
c
{
,
}
]
{
i
}
Set (query) the open
/
closed state [
of c
]
{
to
i
}
. If the optional parameter
c
is not given, then set (query) the state of all channels.
When
c
is given, then the shutter on channel
c
is open if
i
is equal to
1, and closed if
i
is equal to zero. The query form returns the number
2 if shutter state is indeterminate.
When
c
is not given, bits 0 to 3 of
i
identify the open
/
closed states of
shutters 1 to 4. If the bit is 0 the shutter is closed. If the bit is 1 the
shutter is open. The query form sets bits 4 to 7 if the corresponding
shutter state is indeterminate.
STAT 10
CR
Example:
Open shutters 2 and 4. Close shutters 1 and 3.
STAT 1,1
CR
Example:
Open shutter 1.
STAT?
CR
Example:

indeterminate state and that shutter 2 is open.
STAT? 3
CR
Example:
1
A return of 1 indicates that shutter 3 is open.
Shutter Temperature
TEMP?
c
Query the current board temperature in
◦
C of shutter
c
. This com-

Interface Configuration Commands
Compatibility Mode
COMP
i
Enter the SR474’s compatibility mode. If the parameter
i
is set to 1,
the instrument enters compatibility mode.
In compatibility mode the single ASCII bytes ‘@’ through ‘I’ control
the open and close states of all shutters. The ASCII byte ‘Z’ is used
to return the instrument to normal mode. This mode can be used to
provide syntax compatibility with some legacy shutter systems.
