MAINTENANCE
• Store the appliance in a cool, dry area.
• Store the device in a horizontal position
• Only clean the scale with a soft, dry cloth.
• Never use chemicals or abrasives.
WARRANTY
This equipment is covered by a 5-year warranty from Springfield Instruments Inc. starting from the purchase
date, which has to be proven by means of the stamp or signature of the dealer and by the fiscal payment
receipt that shall be kept enclosed to this document.
This warranty period complies with the laws in force and applies only in case the consumer is an individual.
Laica products are designed for domestic use only; therefore, their use for commercial purposes is forbidden.
The warranty covers only production defects and does not apply,
if the damage is caused by accidental events, misuse, negligence or improper use of the product. Use
the supplied accessories only; the use of other accessories invalidate the warranty cover. Do not open the
equipment for any reason whatsoever; the opening or the tampering of the equipment, definitely invalidate
the warranty. Warranty does not apply to parts subject to tear and wear along the use, as well as to batteries,
when they are included. Warranty decays after 5 years from the purchase date.
In this case, technical service interventions will be carried out against payment. Information on technical service
interventions, under warranty terms or against payment, may requested by writing at [email protected]
or by contacting customer service at 1-844-687-4040. Corrective measures or replacement will be discussed with
customer service representative if theproduct is deemed to be under warranty.
All interventions covered by warranty (including product replacement or the replacement of any of its parts)
shall not be meant to extend the duration of the original warranty period of the replaced product. The

REPLACING BATTERIES
When the "LO" or battery symbol appears on the display, replace the four batteries with a similar type.
1. Open the battery compartment by pulling up the tab on the cover.
2. Remove the worn batteries and dispose of them according to the instructions in the paragraph "Disposal
Procedure".
3. Insert the new batteries according to the pole markings.
4. Close the battery compartment.
Each time the scale is moved and then returned to its resting surface, the first weight must not
be considered due to reorganization of the electronic board with the loading cells. Consider the
second and successive weights, as in certain cases the first one could be altered for the reason
mentioned above.

” buttons to enter the gender and the fitness level (the display will show the outline of
a man or woman and or athlete man or athlete woman), the height (from 3f 3 inch to 7f 2 inch) and the
age (from 18 to 80) and confirm each entry by pressing "SET".
The scale will show the data entered in succession and then "0.0".
• To change the data you entered, recall the memory area and repeat the entire procedure.
• To enter data for another person, choose a free memory zone and repeat the entire procedure given above.
• During personal data entry operations, the scale will shut off automatically if no button is pressed
within 60 seconds.
c. Body composition calculation
1) Select the memory zone desired pressing the "SET" button with the scale off. The display will show the last
memory zone entered. To change the memory zone (memories from 1 to 10), press the
“ ” or “ ”
: the
scale shows the data for the memory zone selected and then "0.0 lb" ("0.0 kg").
2) Step on the scale, making sure your bare feet are correctly positioned above the two electrodes. The scale
shows the following in succession:
- Body Mass Index( )
- body fat percentage( )
- water percentage( )
- muscle percentage( )
- basal metabolism( )
- weight
3) The scale will shut off automatically after the second time the data above has been displayed.
