15. SUMMARY OF OBSERVATION PROCEDURE

Main Switch

AC Inlet

Membrane
Switches for
Incident
illumination

Flip the main switch to “ON”

Place the specimen on the stage

Bring the specimen in focus

Adjust the brightness for incident light

Observe Specimen

Adjust the observation tube and eyepieces
Adjust the interpupillary distance
Adjust the diopter setting

Switch on the incident and/or transmitted illumi-
nation as required. The illumination for incident
light can be controlled through the membrane
switches provided on the observation head.
