7.2 Modem R version
The cellular modem integrated in the Outdoor Unit in conjunction with a SIM
card (not included) makes it possible to connect to your network over a wire-
less connection. To establish the connection, you can use the static IP of
the SIM card.
Alternatively, however, it is also possible to establish a VPN connection
using the integrated VPN client of the modem for secure access to the
server. A power supply is needed for establishing and configuring the
network connection.
NOTE: Narda recommends using a SIM card for which the PIN prompt has already
been deactivated before use.
Inserting the SIM card
The SIM card slot is located on the modem inside the device.
1. Open the Outdoor Unit (see Opening the Outdoor Unit on page 61).
2.
Insert the SIM card into the slot in the modem.
As you insert the card, make sure that the gold-colored contacts are
facing downwards and the notched end towards the outer edge of the
modem.
