DISASSEMBLY
1.
GENERAL
This section contains the information required to disassemble the Model FA5000 Record-
ers. Access to the major assemblies within the Model FA5000 is described such that
there is minimal disturbance to other assemblies. Extreme care should be exercised
when removing these assemblies. To ensure the warranty coverage of a defective circuit
board, it must be returned to the factory for repair or replacement.
CAUTION: THE MODEL FA5000’s PRINTED CIRCUIT ASSEMBLIES CONTAIN DE-
VICES SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD). PERSON-
NEL HANDLING A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD SHOULD COMPLY WITH
PROPER ESD HANDLING PROCEDURES; FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RE-
SULT IN DAMAGE TO THE ESD SENSITIVE DEVICES RENDERING THE
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD USELESS. PRIOR TO HANDLING A
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD, ENSURE PROPER PERSONNEL GROUND-
ING TECHNIQUES ARE USED. ALSO, ENSURE THAT ALL CIRCUIT
BOARDS ARE PLACED INTO STATIC SHIELDING CONDUCTIVE BAGS
WHEN HANDLING OR STORING.
