The Secure Voice Security Level menu (

minimum) for voice communications. The default setting for SECVOICE MAX SEC: and SECVOICE MIN
SEC: is “NONE”.

The security level PROTECTED requires a Type 2 key. Therefore, the STE will

not go secure with any other terminal without a Type 2 key, and which has its

maximum-security level set to PROTECTED. The setting PROTECTED is lower
