Install Security Certificates
Your network administrator may instruct you to download and install security certificates to
connect to the network.
Download and install the certificates needed to access your local network into a microSD 1.
card. Your network administrator can tell you how to do this.
Insert the microSD card into your phone. See Insert the microSD Card . 2.
From the Idle screen, press the Center soft key [Menu] > Tools & Settings > 3.
Settings > Phone settings > Security > Install from storage > SD card , and install
the necessary security certificates.
Add a VPN Connection
Use the Wireless & networks settings menu to add a VPN connection to your phone.
From the Idle screen, press the Center soft key [Menu] > Tools & Settings > 1.
Settings > Wireless & networks > VPN .
If you are asked to set up a screen lock, press the Left soft key [OK] and set up a

required type of lock. See Screen Lock Type .
Press the Left soft key [New profile] and enter the information for the VPN you 3.
want to add.

Information may include Name , Type , Server address , PPP encryption (MPPE) ,
Username , Password , etc.

Set up all options according to the security details you have obtained from your
network administrator.
Press the Center soft key [Save] . 4.
The VPN is then added to the VPNs section of the VPN settings screen.
Connect to or Disconnect from a VPN
Once you have set up a VPN connection, connecting to and disconnecting from the VPN is easy.

From the Idle screen, press the Center soft key [Menu] > Tools & Settings > 1.
