Chapter Five Hardware Mounting
5.1
Installation Requirements
KIEN3016M and KIEN3024M is a single body and can be installed in the 19’ standard
rack. Before installation, make sure of the suitable environment including power
requirements, installation space, close to other devices. The details are as below:

Power requirement: select the correct power supply according to the product,
AC220V （ 200VAC ～ 240VAC ， 50Hz ～ 60Hz ） or DC-48V （ -36VDC ～ -72VDC ）
or DC24V

Check if the uplink fiber/TP port is available and ready.

Avoid direct sunshine and keep it away from heating sources or areas where have
strong electromagnetic interference.

Prepare for necessary tools for rack mounting like screws, rack etc.

Check availability of cables and connectors required for mounting.
5.2
Mounting Main Unit
KIEN3016M and KIEN3024M can be installed in any standard 19’ rack, the mounting
dimensions are shown in Figure 5-1. To mount it in rack, check the mounting situation
of the rack, check mainly:
1 ． Enough space in the rack.

Suitable power supply for the switch in the rack.
Select the suitable mounting position of KIEN3016M and KIEN3024M, make sure of
the hole of switch and rack in one line, and fix with screw as shown in Figure 5-2. The
screw is M5X14.
