ESD ElectroStatic Discharge
G
G/T A figure of merit of an antenna and low noise amplifier
combination expressed in dB. "G" is the net gain of the system
and "T" is the noise temperature of the system. The higher the
number, the better the system.
GPIO General Purpose Input/Output
GPS Global Positioning System. A system of satellites, computers, and
receivers that is able to determine the latitude and longitude of a
receiver on Earth by calculating the time difference for signals
from different satellites to reach the receiver.

HF High Frequency. The frequency band between 3 and 30 MHz.
Used for medium and long range terrestrial radio communication.

IP Internet Protocol. The method or protocol by which data is sent
from one computer to another on the Internet.
ISDN Integrated Services Digital Network. A circuit-switched telephone
network system, designed to allow digital transmission of voice
and data over ordinary telephone copper wires, resulting in
higher quality and speed than are available with analog.
