Greasing the RTS Rotary Hopper Bearing

The

RTS Rotary Hopper

is a machine line configuration that replaces the on-board

Hoppers

on the

990 Series

. If your line has this configuration, this section details greasing procedure for the single

bearing on the

RTS

The bearing is flange-mounted at the rotation point of the machine.

Recommended Tools

RTS Greasing Procedure

If needed, use an extender to reach the bearing.

Perform

Lockout/ Tagout.

Find the bearing identified in

Figure

2- 36 on page

2-46.

Identify zerk fittings on the bearing.

Apply approximatively 1 Gram (one pump from grease gun) of EP-2 grease.

After lubrication is completed, clean up excess grease.

Reverse

Lockout/Tagout.
