Troubleshooting

Use this chapter to learn how to maintain your SP6 and solve operational problems.

Maintenance

Clean the SP6 with a soft cloth dampened with water. Never use abrasives or solvents as they 

may damage the SP6.

Power On Problems

This is the normal power on sequence: 

1.  The LCD backlight turns on.
2.  “Loading...” appears in the LCD for a few seconds.
3.  The SP6 enters Program Mode with Program 1 or the default boot up Program selected.

If your SP6 does not follow the normal power on sequence, check the problems and 

solutions below:

Problem

The SP6 does not power on

Solutions Plug the power cable securely into the wall outlet.

Plug the power cable securely into the SP6 power jack.
Use a different wall outlet, power strip, or extension cord.

Problem

The SP6 powers on but operation is abnormal

Solution

Try plugging the power cable into a different wall outlet on a 

different circuit.

Problem

The SP6 powers on but the LCD is difficult to read

Solution

Go to the Global Mode Settings page and adjust the LCDContras 

parameter.
