3.5 Operations to Restart Program from Pause
When the front cover is opened during PROCESSING. Then the program is halted and the LCD displays
"COVER OPEN". If this occurs while the wash buffer pump or elution buffer pump is running, operation
of the device will not be paused until the process for one cartridge is completed.
After that, the extraction process can be resumed from the operation panel.
To resume the operation after opening the front cover during extraction operation, perform the following
procedures.
To quit the program, refer to "3.6 Operations to Stop Extraction Process"(

Close the front cover.

Press the [START] button when "START SW - RESTART" is displayed on the
LCD.
QuickGene-810 will restart from the position where the program is paused.
Restarting operations vary depending on the timing when the front cover is opened (when the operation is
paused).
The following shows the timing when the front cover is opened and the restart operations.
Note: When the front cover is opened, do not remove the cartridges or tubes in the
QuickGene-810. Also, do not move the pressure head.
Extraction process restarts from the position where the process was paused.
Operations such as discharge may be performed even without cartridges or
tubes, which may result in liquid spill.

operations restart from the paused position.
During binding
All operations stop

The pressure head returns to the original position, then
moves to the paused position. Operations restart
beginning with the cartridge that was in operation.

If the operation is paused while applying pressure,
pressure application is performed again starting with the
applicable cartridge.
During washing
•
All operations stop,
except for wash buffer
pump and elution buffer
pump.
•
During the wash buffer
or elution buffer
discharge process, the
operations stop after
discharge for one
cartridge
If stopped while applying pressure
•
The pressure head moves to the paused position, and only
pressure application restarts.
•
If wash buffer or elution buffer was being discharged,
operations restart with the next cartridge.
If stopped when pressure application was completed or with
no pressure application
•
The pressure head moves to the next cartridge of the
cartridge being processed, then pressure application and
wash buffer discharge processes restart.
