Electrical Connection
Warning: This appliance must be earthed!
The built-in hob unit must be connected to the mains supply
by a qualified electrician who is authorized to carry out such
work. Both legal wiring regulations and the requirements of
your local electricity supply board must be fully complied with.
Both the control unit and the oven must be isolated from the
mains during installation.
– Switch off at the fuse box or remove the fuse.
– Make sure that the multiple pin plug belonging to the hob
unit is correctly inserted into the matching socket of the
control unit.
Service
The nameplate is located on the underside of the hob unit.
The details given on the nameplate must be quoted when
calling in our service engineer or when ordering replace-
ment parts.
Should a repair become necessary, the appliance must be
disconnected from the mains supply, i.e. by switching off at
the fuse box or removing the fuse.
Attachment
• Insert the angle nuts and introduce the hob from above.
Then fasten the hob with screws and attachment brackets
from below (see illustrations).
• Tighten the screws with a hand screw driver only; do not
use a battery-operated screw driver.
Attachment of worktops with an uneven sur-
face
• When installing a hob into an uneven worktop, e.g. with a
ceramic or similar covering (tiles etc.), the seal on the hob
is to be removed and the seal between the hob and
worktop made with plastic sealing materials, such as heat-
resistant silicone rubber (not included in scope of delivery).
Before use
Switch on all hotplates on highest level for 3 – 5 minutes, so
that the hotplates may brand and an optimal protection
coating can be reached.
