Instructions for work

4. Machine use

The machine can turn at 180° without loosing working

width or time.

The following drawing shows one way of using the

machine.

Groundspeed

The following factors determine the forward speed:

- The humidity level (This factor is particularly

determining when wilting).

- The crop density.
- The crop composition (blade length).
- The ground contours.

Below are a few recommendations for your 
information:

In dense and average length crop:

- When wilting a crop with low humidity level:

• the speed is approximately of 7 to 8 km/h (4.4 -

5 mph).

- When tedding a more or less dry crop:

• The speed can reach approximately 10 to 12 km/h

(6.3 - 7.5 mph).

• The dryer the crop, the more the PTO speed must

be reduced.

• For a very dense, humid crop composed of very

long blades, the forward speed must be reduced.

Preferably take large headland turns.

For difficult working conditions, it is
recommended to operate at a lower forward
speed.
