OPERATING THE VEHICLE

24

OPERATING TECHNIQUES

B

Differential Lock

To avoid personal injury due to loss of steering
control:

A

Do not operate the vehicle at high speed with
differential lock engaged.

A

Do not attempt to turn with the differential lock
engaged.

A

Be sure to release the differential lock before
making a turn in field conditions.

If one of the rear wheels should slip, step on the
differential lock pedal. Both wheels will then turn together,
reducing slippage.
Differential lock is maintained while the pedal is
depressed or may be held by using differential lock holder.

C

Handling the retaining device for differential lock

1. Pull the differential lock holder while the differential

lock pedal is depressed.

2. The differential lock is then maintained even if your

foot leaves the pedal.

3. The lock is released when the pedal is depressed

again.

A

When using the differential lock, always slow the
engine down.

A

To prevent damage to power train, do not engage
differential lock when one wheel is spinning and the
other is completely stopped.

A

If the differential lock cannot be released, stop the
vehicle, turn the steering wheel alternately.

(1) Differential lock pedal

(A) Press to "ENGAGE"
