Preparatory work

Disassemble the fork legs. ( p. 15)

Main work

Clamp the compression holder in a bench vise using soft jaws.

Remove nut

Remove the spring.

Remove washer

Remove piston

Remove shim stack

Remove O-ring

and seal ring

from the compression holder.
–
Extract the compression holder.
6.13 Checking the fork legs
Condition
The fork has been disassembled.

Check the inner tube and axle clamp for damage.
» If there is damage:

Change the inner tube.
