10.7 Measuring the dimension of the rear wheel unloaded
Preparatory work
–
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 47)

Position the sag gage in the rear axle and measure the
distance to marking

Finishing work
–
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 47)

Measure dimension

Hold the motorcycle upright with aid of an assistant.

Measure the distance again between the rear axle and mark-
ing
SAG on the rear fender using the sag gage.
