6. Connecting Computers
The switch features auto-MDI/MDIX crossover detection function and provides
plug-and-play capability. Users can immediately use the features of the product simply by
plugging the network cables (RJ45) to the computers and the switches.
7. Hardware Installation
1. Connect one Ethernet port to your router’s LAN port with an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect your computer to one port of the switch with an Ethernet cable.
3. Plug DC end of the provided Power Adapter into the power jack of the switch and the
AC end to a standard electrical socket.
8. Uplink
All Ports can be used as an uplink port for connecting another Ethernet switch without using
crossover cable. You may extend the network distance more than 100m or the number of
connected computers by linking another switch or hub.
